the photo is wonderful . . . love the lighting, the mist, the mood . . . but the "steeple" is really cool - i can hear the bereaved widow talking to the stonecarver, "i just wanted something simple for him, it's not like it's rocket science"
Ya know...I don't really know what "dark" is all about. It seems like I've been trying to crawl out of the dark for a good deal of time, but, anyway, I love this photo. The fog is great, but the thing that caught my eye was the oppressive, over-bearing steeple...just standing there for no apparent reason. In some sense, it reminded me instantly of a scene from "Alien". Do you remember... the way that alien's ship looked on the smoky landscape of that planet? Unforgettable. Thanks.
